Frequently Asked Questions

Is cleaning included?
The villa is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. See the Stay safe page for more information. In addition a weekly housekeeping service is provided as part of your weekly rental.  

Are linens included?
Yes all bed linen, bath towels and a pool towel is provided for your stay. A change of linens during a one-week stay requires a supplemental fee.

What other services can you offer, to help us get the most out of our holiday?
We take the stress out of a family holiday, ensuring all have fun and leave feeling refreshed. A full list of suggestions of things to see and do close by, along with restaurant recommendations will be provided to all guests on arrival. By arrangement we can also cater meals and help with itinerary planning, wine tasting, cooking classes and guided tours. 

Can you provide any recommendations on private tours and hands-on classes?
Please contact us if you are interested in pasta making classes, wine tastings, painting classes and guided tours with art historians. We can cater to all ages and interest levels.

Is the villa suited to young kids and babies?
Every parent has a different level of comfort in taking their children to new locations. We welcome all to the property; however, it remains the parents responsibility to monitor little people. There are plenty of stairs and steps without railings in the house. The pool does not have a shallow end though there are steps in the pool where they can play and splash. We do not have any high chairs or cots/cribs. We traveled the world when our children were young and would be happy to discuss any needs or concerns that you may have.

Is the villa accessible for all?
The villa comprises several floors. There is no elevator. However, you can park outside the front door and there is easy access to everything on the ground floor. There is a bedroom which contains a sofa bed on the ground floor. Also on this floor is the sitting room, dining room, kitchen and a full bathroom (with a step into the shower). The only steps on this floor would be down to the fireplace seating area. Around the pool is paved, otherwise all paths are covered in gravel.

Is there parking?
There is plenty of parking on the driveway and courtyard. It is not covered. However, the property is fully enclosed and there is no access unless the gate is opened.

Will I have exclusive use of the property?
Yes, during your stay you will be the only ones in the house and have use of the garden and pool. There are several rooms that are locked, mainly in the basement that are not for your use. By arrangement a housekeeper, pool clean and/or gardener may access the property during your stay. 

What time is check in and check out time?
Check in time is after 4 p.m. Check out time is 10 a.m. We will try to accommodate any special requests.
